Where can Academic Magnet students keep their phones during the school day?
- Turned off and in your locked car (Junior & Senior Drivers)
- Turned completely off (not just vibrate or silent) and locked in your assigned locker. *Preferred*
- Turned completely off (not just vibrate or silent) and in your bookbag.
Note: Academic Magnet will discontinue the use of the teacher managed systems (the shoe rack, the teacher collection boxes, etc.) that some AMHS teachers have in place in individual classrooms.
How can I get an important message to my Academic Magnet student during the school day?

What are the consequences for a student who accesses or uses their phone or personal electronic device during the school day?
The infraction code is 330 - Cell Phone. Teachers and staff will enter the student information into Review 360 and our administrators will follow up with the student The consequences are articulated in the Charleston County School District Progressive Discipline Plan. 330 - Cell Phone infraction is at the top of page 6 on this document.
